The Best of Chicago Sports House

For this blog, I wanted to re share with you all of you guys some of my work that I view to be the best so far that this site has to offer.  1.  https://chicagosportshouse.blogspot.com/2020/06/profiling-chicago-cubs-3b-kris-bryant.html The first post that I want to share is one that I wrote about Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant. I was really proud of the work that I did with this blog, and I think you guys will enjoy reading about one of the best Cubs players we have seen at Wrigley in a long while. Also being a member of the world series team of 2016 I will always be a huge fan of Bryant's. 2.  https://chicagosportshouse.blogspot.com/2020/06/a-guide-to-chicago-sports-in-2020.html Another post that I think deserves to be on this list is the blog I wrote as a guide to following Chicago sports in 2020. It is a great place to start if you have fallen behind on Chicago sports news, or if you have forgot what exactly is going on with this quarantine going on.  3. https://c...

What if the White Sox signed Bryce Harper

Image
Bryce Harper has been a member of the Philadelphia Phillies for over a year now, but what if that didn’t happen. What if Bryce Harper decided to become a member of the Chicago White Sox, how differently would the team look today. When it comes to Harper signing with the White Sox, it is not that out there of a hypothetical. While typically you wouldn’t expect free agents of his caliber to look to a team that isn’t even the biggest in their own city, at the time of his free agency the Sox name seemed to come up often. So what if he did sign with the Sox. A problem that I see that could have come with signing Harper, is if Reinsdorf would have been unwilling to spend money on top of it. Harper got a 13 year 330 million dollar deal from the Phillies, which would blow away any White Sox contract in history. When you think about it though, it comes out to just over 25 million a season which isn’t crazy compared to other contracts in baseball.  If the Sox spent this money on Harper would...

Debating the Chicago Bears QB Battle

When it comes to the Bears this season, there is still one huge question mark. Unfortunately for us as fans, this question mark comes at arguably the most important position in all of sports. The Bears haven’t had a great QB basically ever and this year is more of the same, but there are two players competing for the job so hopefully one of them can make the most of the opportunity.  It comes down to Mitch Trubisly and Nick Foles, and while I think the choice should easily be Foles, let's look at the both of them. Mitch Trubisky: We will start by looking at the man who has started for us the last two full seasons. Trubisky, the former number 2 overall pick, is coming off a very disappointing 2019 season where he appeared to take a step back from the year prior. On the positive side he knows the system, and is much more athletic with his legs than Foles, but from what we saw last year I don’t think that is enough. Mitch will need to take a big jump this year if he wants to win the j...

Predicting the 2020 NBA Playoffs

Image
With the 2020 NBA season starting up this month I wanted to give my predictions about what is going to happen. First when it comes to the Eastern conference, I think the 8 playoff teams will be: Milwaukee Bucks Toronto Raptors Boston Celtics Miami Heat Philadelphia 76ers Indiana Pacers Brooklyn Nets Orlando Magic The Eastern conference is more set than the Western conference with only the Wizards making the season resumption outside of the top 8. I do think the top 8 will stay the same come playoff time.  When it comes to my prediction about who will come out of the East, I would have to go with the Bucks. I know it seems like an easy pick but I do think the Raptors and Celtics both can give them a run for their money in the playoffs. But when it comes down to it I think Giannis will be too much. Prediction: Bucks When it comes to the West there are many teams fighting for the last two playoff seeds, at the end of the day I think the top 8 will be: Los Angeles Lakers Los Angeles Cl...
