Debating the Chicago Bears QB Battle

When it comes to the Bears this season, there is still one huge question mark. Unfortunately for us as fans, this question mark comes at arguably the most important position in all of sports. The Bears haven’t had a great QB basically ever and this year is more of the same, but there are two players competing for the job so hopefully one of them can make the most of the opportunity.

It comes down to Mitch Trubisly and Nick Foles, and while I think the choice should easily be Foles, let's look at the both of them.

Mitch Trubisky:

We will start by looking at the man who has started for us the last two full seasons. Trubisky, the former number 2 overall pick, is coming off a very disappointing 2019 season where he appeared to take a step back from the year prior. On the positive side he knows the system, and is much more athletic with his legs than Foles, but from what we saw last year I don’t think that is enough. Mitch will need to take a big jump this year if he wants to win the job, and keep it through the season.

Nick Foles:

Looking at Foles, he has a lot more accolades than Trubisky. Foles is a former Super Bowl winning QB who also won the MVP of that game by outplaying Tom Brady. Foles also has experience in the system dating back to Bears coach Matt Nagy’s time with Andy Reid. While Foles has struggled for teams outside of Philadelphia, I personally feel more confident with a Super Bowl MVP at QB than what we have seen from Mitch Trubisky over the last 2 years.

At the end of the day, I don’t know if either is a great option but in my opinion we should be riding with Nick Foles heading into week 1. Let me know your guys opinions on the QB battle in the comments down below.
