Top 5 Chicago Bulls Players since 2000

Today I have decided to give you my list of top five Bulls players since the year 2000.

  1. Derrick Rose: For me, number one was a no brainer. Although injuries really cut short his prime in Chicago, I think that most of us Bulls fans can agree that he was by far the best player we have seen in a Bulls uniform since the days of Jordan and Pippen. In 2011 he became only the 2nd Bull ever to win MVP of the league, and when you're on a list that only includes the great Michael Jordan you know you did something special.

  2. Jimmy Butler: For the number two spot, it took me a lot more thinking than number one. I considered a few players, but ultimately landed on Jimmy Butler for this spot. Maybe the Bulls biggest draft steal ever, Butler grew from bench player to superstar while with the Bulls. His last few years with the team he was a bona fide two way star, scoring at will while also playing fantastic defense.

  3. Joakim Noah: Probably the most loved Bull other than D-Rose since the year 2000. Noah was the heart and soul of the Bulls from when he was drafted in 2007 to when he left the Bulls in 2016. I always loved the intensity that Noah brought to the Bulls as a defensive anchor and overall team leader. Also he was the leader of the best Bulls teams since Jordan so I definitely think this is a good spot for him.

  4. Loul Deng: In my opinion the most underrated Bull of my lifetime. Loul was a rock for the Bulls from 2004-2014. Deng was never a superstar but always was a solid complementary scorer and of course was a great defender. His consistency and longevity for the Bulls, all while leading the league in minutes played multiple times, is the reason why I have him at number four.

  5. Kirk Hinrich: While never being close to a superstar, I had to find room on this list for Hinrich. Dubbed captain Kirk by Bulls announcer Stacey King, Hinrich gave his blood sweat and tears to the city of Chicago. Kirk is the all time Bulls leader for 3 point shooting, but the leadership and competitiveness he brought to the Bulls is how he will be remembered.

This is my personal list, so if you want to critique or create your own list I greatly encourage it.
